“My name is David Egan, I’m 19, and I’m a student at Jandakot Flight Centre. I am currently undertaking the course for my Commercial Pilot Licence. Although not essential, I chose to study for a degree: a bachelor of science majoring in aviation. I studied aviation at a specialist aviation school throughout year 11 and 12, began my flight training at the age of 16 with the Australian Air Force Cadets, then continued privately with Jandakot Flight Centre. I started flying the Cessna 152, acquiring my first solo (at age of 16) and GFPT, before moving on to the Cessna 172, Cessna 177 and Mooney 201 for my Private Pilot Licence, then later the Commercial Pilot Licence training. To date, my flying experience has been amazing and I would highly recommend giving it a go for anyone with an interest in aviation. My experience at Jandakot Flight Centre has been nothing but positive and I always look forward to training there. I hope to one day utilise my experience and give back to the centre by working with them.”
